EP. #32 — Redefining Success: Self-Trust, Values & Authentic Leadership with Michael Tiger
Ronni Scharre

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Michael shares what happened when he entered an unfamiliar industry and started questioning the very strengths he had been hired for. A conversation with his coach helped him recognize how much energy he was spending trying to become like everyone else.

We also explore a values exercise that revealed a difficult disconnect: what Michael believed mattered most to him wasn’t what others saw reflected in how he was living.

But recognizing that gap wasn’t the end of the story. Michael talks honestly about making changes, falling back into familiar patterns, and learning that knowing your values takes ongoing practice.

In our conversation, we discuss:

  • Imposter syndrome and recognizing the strengths you already bring.

  • The difference between naming your values and making room for them.

  • Defining success beyond titles, income, and other people’s expectations.

  • Building self-trust through everyday choices.

  • Bringing what you’ve learned into your next job or chapter.

  • Why adaptability, resilience, and authenticity matter as work evolves, including with AI.

Knowing yourself is part of the process. Learning to live what you know is another.

THE TRUE INDIGO METHOD

Michael’s experiences connect with questions at the heart of the True Indigo Method:

What’s happening in my life? How did I get here? What actually matters to me? Can I trust myself to choose differently—and how do I carry that choice into everyday life?

The Method moves through five stages:

Awareness → Reflection → Resonance → Inner Authority → Integrated Alignment

It creates a process for understanding your experiences and patterns, getting clearer about your values and needs, strengthening confidence in your judgment, and practicing those choices as you grow into your next chapter.

Michael’s story also offers an important reminder: understanding something about yourself doesn’t mean you’ll never struggle with it again. Integration means continuing to notice, adjust, and return to what matters.
